Pastor Roy C. Dawkins has served as pastor of Greater Zion Temple Church in Steubenville, Ohio for the past 27 years. Before coming to Steubenville, in 1985, he served as the pastor of Mt. Zion Temple in Columbia, Tennessee for 10 years.
Roy C. Dawkins was raised and educated in Kansas City, Kansas. He has been married to Charlene for 45 years. They are the proud parents of two sons, Anson and Eric, who are International Gospel-Recording Artists, “Dawkins and Dawkins.” Pastor and Lady Dawkins are also grandparents of three adorable girls, Kiristen, Ranan, and Jaya. In 1989 he was elevated to “District Elder.”
Pastor Dawkins received his Bachelor of Theology and Religious Education degrees in 1981 in Nashville, Tennessee, and his Masters Degrees in Theology and Religious Education in 1997. In August of 2005, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry; in October of 2005, he received the Doctor of Divinity from Aenon Bible College, Indianapolis, IN.
Pastor Dawkins was consecrated as Suffragan Bishop in the Ohio
District Council on July 4, 2002. He is the Chairman of the Ohio District Council of Pentecostal Churches, Inc. As Suffragan Bishop, he faithfully serves 14 churches in the Southeast Region of the Ohio District Council of Pentecostal Churches, Inc. He is a member of Aenon Bible College Board of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, and he is the Liaison for the Ministers’ Wives and Widows Alliance of the Ohio District Council. He is a dedicated Pastor and a True Man of God.
